Page stuns rival Dudley in 35-6 rout

Posted

In a dominant Friday night conference clash, the Page Pirates protected their home turf and kept their current win record intact, defeating cross-town rival Dudley, 35-6. Page dictated the tempo from start to finish, stiffening their defense against the Panthers while executing efficiently on offense. The Pirates cruised to their fifth consecutive win of the season.

With the win, the Pirates improved to 5-0, continuing an impressive early-season run in Metro 6A/7A play.  Dudley struggled to generate sustained momentum against Page’s stingy defensive unit, managing just a lone touchdown on the evening. The setback drops the Panthers to an even 3-3 on the year.

Looking ahead, Page will prepare to host the Ragsdale Tigers (2-3) of Jamestown. The Pirates will look to maintain their unblemished record against a Tigers squad coming off a 28-13 league loss to Dudley. Dudley will seek to bounce back and climb above .500 on Friday, October 2, when they take on the Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles. Smith enters the rivalry test with a 1-5 record following a 28-3 conference defeat against Southwest Guilford.
