Greensboro added a touch of holiday magic to the city last weekend with The Festival of Lights and the 2015 Holiday Parade.

Downtown Greensboro was full of holiday cheer on Friday, December 4 as hundreds gathered during the annual tree lighting ceremony that took place at Center City Park. The 38-foot tree has 2,900 lights and is adorned with a 5-foot lighted star shaped tree topper. The cool night air was filled with music from N.C. A&T State University’s Fellowship Gospel Choir and a community sing-along, while the kids made holiday arts and crafts and the adults sipped on hot chocolate.

After a fun-filled night of singing Christmas carols, residents were able to enjoy a parade on Saturday morning, Dec. 5, complete with marching bands, winter-themed floats and a special visit from Santa Claus and his bag of treats.
