The Carolina Cowboys, Greensboro’s professional bull riding team, were recognized by the City Council on Monday for capturing the 2025 PBR Teams World Championship in a dramatic finish in Las Vegas.
The team’s leadership was in attendance to receive the official resolution from the city commemorating their historic achievement. Representing the reigning champions were Head Coach and PBR co-founder Jerome Davis, his wife Tiffany Davis—a key figure in the Davis Rodeo Ranch—and General Manager Austin Dillon.
The Cowboys, who hold their annual “Cowboy Days” homestand in Greensboro, clinched the title in October after a dominant performance in the championship tournament. The Council praised the team for showcasing the values of courage and determination, and for bringing positive national attention to the city as a premier destination for major sporting events.
The championship victory, which saw the Cowboys defeat the Missouri Thunder in the final, solidified the team’s place as a dominant force in the Professional Bull Riders series.
