SE Falcons soar to second in tournament

Southeast competed in the N.C. State Tournament, its first in more than five years, but came up short against the Knights of Ardrey Kell High School (Charlotte, N.C.). The final record for Southeast, 17 wins and 10 losses. The Falcons finished fourth in the conference and second in the conference tournament.
At 5’10 inches, Falcon middle hitter, Kiya Oviosun, spikes the ball over her opponents for a score. Throughout the volleyball season, Oviosun, a junior at Southeast Guilford, ranksed second on the Falcons’ volleyball team in both kills (146) and blocks (61). She has been selected five times as player of the game, including during the semifinal against So. Alamance featured above. Oviosun is the daughter of Evans and Sherren Oviosun of Greensboro and the little sister of Kellie Ann Oviosun Washington.
