The Sunday afternoon class for parents and students

James Jerome Hankins / February 9, 2024

About 90 percent of our lives are controlled by local, state or federal politicians.

The following governmental departments make rules and regulations we follow every day: 1. Agriculture. 2. Education. 3. Energy. 4. Health and Human Services. 5. Housing. 6. Veterans Services. 7. Labor. 8. Transportation. 9. Treasury. and 10. Justice. On the state level, you have an Insurance Commissioner who can allow companies to raise homeowners or auto insurance rates like they are doing now in North Carolina. On the local level, you have the City Council, County Commissioners, and a powerful Board of Education who control what your children are taught in school. Many may only realize the power these agencies have only when confronted by them.

Many local Boards of Education are banning books, resegregating and whitewashing history. The old saying “Lady Justice is blind” is true because she is an inanimate/metal statue holding a balance scale, and her eyes are covered with a blindfold.

All judges from night court to the U.S. Supreme Court, who sentence defendants based on their race/color/creed/financial position/religion/lack of religion, need to be disbarred/impeached. We have been the victims and continue to be lied to in 2024.

In 1776, the following was written in our Declaration of Independence: “All men are created equal.” It depends on your “definition” of men. In 1865, Black people were promised 40 acres and a mule.” This is 159 years later, and I still have not received them. When did you get yours (smile)?

In 1954, the U.S. Supreme Court outlawed segregated schools by a unanimous vote. Some school systems did not fully integrate (Cleveland High School in Mississippi) until 2016 because the Supreme Court added the sentence “With all deliberate speed.” Translation: take your time. In 1961, President John F. Kennedy signed Affirmative Action into law to try to help level a modicum of the playing field.

In 1973, Roe V. Wade passed the U.S. Supreme Court 7 to 2 to finally give ladies control of their bodies. Please honestly answer this question. If you had 91 felony indictments and were on trial in New York, Georgia, Washington D.C., and Florida, making false statements and threatening judges, their staff, and family members, would you eat a home-cooked meal tonight or be in prison?

You gave your politician power to appoint or bless the appointment of these judges. You have the power (VOTE) to elect or retire your representative. The meek shall inherit the earth only when we register and vote in record numbers.
