Photo by Joe DanielsThe undefeated Panthers of Dudley High School celebrated homecoming with a 42-0 shellacking over the visiting Southern Alamance Patriots Friday night at Tarpley Stadium. The Panthers improved to 8-0, 2-0 in the Metro 4-A Conference.

Early in the second quarter Jon Zellious caught a touchdown reception from Hooker lifting the score to 21-0 and the rout was on. The Panthers led 34-0 at the half.
Hooker led the offense with 14-of-18 passing for 266 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for two scores on seven attempts for 84 yards. Four running backs and quarterback Hooker combined to total 368 rushing yards: Thomas Young (5 carries-68yds), Ezra Perkins (8 carries-70yds), Zereik Rush (7 carries-74yds), and Tony Burch (3 carries-66yds).
The Panthers had 266 passing yards led by Zellious’ five receptions for 127 yards and two touchdowns. The defense was led by Patrick Conner and Nigel Peele, who combined for 20 tackles.
