Trump rally attracts scores of protesters

Staff Reports / June 17, 2016

Several groups of protesters gathered Tuesday evening at various points in the vicinity of the Greensboro Coliseum’s Special Events Center as Donald J. Trump, the presumptive Republican U.S. Presidential candidate, visited the Gate City Tuesday evening for a campaign rally with supporters.

Pictured below are Greensboro residents (L-R) Eddie Lazo, Miguel Rios and Jose Gonzalez who want to see Trump’s negative rhetoric against Latinos, Muslims, the LGBTQ community, African Americans, Asians, and women halted. Signs prominently featured statements such as, “Stop the Hate,” Stop the Bigotry,” and “No Deportation, No Wall.”
