Greensboro Day School HAECO champions again

Coach Freddy Johnson’s Bengals have won eight of the last nine HAECO Invitational tournaments. They lost in OT to Northwest Guilford in 2018.

Early in the fourth quarter, Silas Mason gave the Eagles a 43-42 lead after trailing by ten. Tournament MVP Brock Williams, a junior guard from Greensboro Day, scored nine of his game high 27 points during the last five minutes to hold off Smith, 62-57.

Bengals players Cam Hayes and Bryce Harris scored nine and eight points respectively. All-Tournament senior guard Silas Mason led the Eagles with 27 points, seven rebounds and seven blocked shots.
