2019 East West All-Star Game

WEST 119, EAST 80 – BOYS

With former Southwest standouts Jay’den Turner’s 24 points, eight rebounds (Southwest Guilford, Queens College) and Keyshaun Langley’s seven points, eight rebounds and five assists (Southwest Guilford, UNCG) leading the way, the West ran to a 61-28 halftime lead. High Point Central alumnus Dhieu Deing (USC-Aiken) joined the party with some spectacular plays of his own finishing with 15 points and six rebounds. The East was dominated 65-37 on the boards. A 25-13 advantage on the offensive glass led to 16 more field-goal attempts for the West, which converted 53.1 percent for the game.


EAST 81, WEST 78 – GIRLS

Rashauna Grant scored six points during a 14-4 run midway through the second quarter to put the East up 37-26 and they never trailed again. MVP Alexandria Scruggs (EE Smith), a Wake Forest signee, was particularly effective and finished with 20 points and eight rebounds. The games were played Monday night, July 15 at the Greensboro Coliseum.
