State Rep. Alma Adams (D-District 58) hosted an After-Holiday Reception Jan. 12 at the Clarion Hotel in Greensboro. Adams held the event to thank her supporters who helped secure her re-election to the North Carolina House. Adams, whose 58th district traverses through east and west Greensboro expressed her gratitude for all of her constituents. The retired Bennett College art professor and champion who helped spearhead the raising of the state’s minimum wage said, “I look forward to serving the citizens of Guilford County. It’s going to be challenging but I look forward to the work.” This is Dr. Adams’ 11th term in the N.C. House of Representatives.
