Lady Page Pirates repeat titles

The Lady Page Pirates won their second consecutive TIMCO Invitational Tournament with a 54-35 victory over the Eagles of Smith High School Saturday night at the Greensboro Coliseum Special Events Center.

Four Lady Pirates were named to the All-Tournament team led by junior guard Parris Kea, who was named MVP for the second consecutive year. Kea finished with 11 points and nine assists. Debrisha Barnes scored a team-high 13 points and had nine rebounds while Chelsey Coleman added 11 points and a team-high 13 rebounds. Kayla Johnson contributed seven points and four boards.

Page outscored the Eagles 31-17 over the last two quarters.

Nyle Allen led the Eagles of Smith with 13 points. She was the only Eagle to score in double figures. Smith’s only All-Tournament player was Breanna Garris.

The Girls’ Jim Pritchett Sportsmanship Award was presented to Ronata Rogers of Greensboro Day School.
