The Southeast Falcons’ Jamel Petty scores the team’s only touchdown on a three-yard run during the third quarter against Dudley.

Dudley quarterback Richard Hayes ran for three scores and passed for another as the Panthers spoiled Southeast Guilford’s 50th Homecoming celebration Friday at Southeast’s Bill Slayton Athletic Field.

Hayes, a senior, finished with 174 yards on 30 carries. He was also 9-of-16 passing for 111 yards as the Panthers rolled to a 41-11 win.

Dudley improved to 3-0 in the Metro Conference and 4-3 overall, while Southeast dropped to 5-3, 2-2 in the conference.

“Richard’s doing exactly what we expected of him,” Dudley coach Steven Davis said. “He doesn’t do a lot of talking, but he leads by example.”
