As the capital of the United States and seat of the federal government, the District of Columbia plays host every four years to the inauguration of the country’s president and the related activities such as the inaugural parade, balls and galas and other festive events.

Through the DC Presidential Inaugural Committee (DC PIC) the Government of the District of Columbia provides logistical coordination and support for the inaugural activities, working in close coordination with its federal, regional and private sector partners to ensure seamless oversight and integrated management.

We expect that hundreds of thousands of visitors from across the country will visit the District to take part in this historic event.
